it is just about time for christmas!

I think it is hilarious. I am an atheist, but I totally celebrate Christmas, and in my family it has nothing to do with the arbitrary date assigned to the birth of the mythical son of god. I personally love giving presents and could care less about the reason. I mean if someone had since I was born convinced me that August 15th was the day for gift giving I would be fine with it. I am perfectly happy with my christ free celebration of gifts, and I am annoyed with people and their facebook statuses about keep the christ in Christmas. Yes, lets keep christ in the date that he was almost certainly not born but was picked because pagans already had celebrations at that time and didn't want to give them up. I hate when people don't know the reason for things being the way they are but just pretend they do.

    Me too.

I also celebrate Christmas for purely nonreligious reasons (such as, it's fun).
