I have been studying a lot for the GRE. I am unsure why the GRE is the required test to get in to graduate school. It seems sort of pointless to me. I mean any math class you take you are going to get to use a calculator and it will probably be at a higher level than college algebra. Also the vocab part seems odd to me. Why does it matter if you know a lot of obscure vocabulary? I think it would be more practical to have an admissions test that was more specific to what you wanted to go to graduate school for, but I guess that is just me.
